Who are the
La Salettes?
We are a Catholic Religious Community of men and women, founded on the apparition of Our Blessed Lady to two teenagers in the small village of La Salette in the French Alps on September 19, 1846. Her message imbues and inspires our life and mission.
We devote ourselves to the charism
(or special mission) of reconciliation.
A Message from the Provincial Superior

Welcome to discernment with Missionaries of La Salette in North America. We are a religious community of men committed to serving the Lord as priests and brothers.
In her apparition, the Virgin Mary shared a message of reconciliation with Maximin Giraud and Melanie Calvat, near the small village of La Salette in the French Alps on September 19, 1846.
Blessed Mother invited them to come closer to Jesus, her son, saying, “Come near, my children, be not afraid; I am here to tell you great news.” We are committed to “making her message” known to all people.
Maybe her message resonates with you as you begin your discernment to be a religious brother or priest. We are a beautiful family who welcomes anyone with a humble spirit to serve and a capacity for friendship and community life.
We are happy to walk with you in your discernment and prayer. I hope you can take this moment of grace to respond to God’s call.
Blessings,
Very Rev. Fr. William V. Kaliyadan, M.S.
